For years, I woke up every morning feeling stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed.
It felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders. No matter how hard I worked, it never felt like enough. And even when I did accomplish something good… the joy never stuck. By the next morning, I’d be back to dreading the day.
Until I learned one simple phrase.
A sentence that honestly changed everything:
“It’s gonna be a GOOD day.”
That’s it.
Some mornings I whisper it. Some mornings I don’t believe it. But I say it anyway.
Because it reminds me of something true:
Every day, I get to choose. And so do YOU.
We can either wake up and declare the kind of day we’re going to have…or we can drift through it and let the day declare itself.
And keep in mind, this is not just some sort of self-help mantra. This is TRUTH:
This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.
- Psalm 118:24
Even in the chaos. Even in the unknown. Even when life feels like it’s falling apart. There are still blessings.
There is still PURPOSE.
I started saying this phrase back when I was stuck in a job I hated. I was working long hours. Barely sleeping. Constantly frustrated.
I needed a way to stop spiraling before the day even began.
So I decided to try it. I decided to BELIEVE it. I woke up and said:
“Today is going to be a GOOD day.”
Not because everything was perfect.
But because I refused to let my emotions lead.
That one sentence helped rewire my mind.
It helped shift my posture.
And little by little… it helped me walk into a new kind of life.
Now, years later, I still say it.
“It’s gonna be a GOOD day.”
Every morning. No matter what I’m facing. It reminds me that God is still working. That my purpose matters. And that I get to decide how I show up.
If you’ve been waking up in a fog…
Or you’ve been feeling stuck, stressed, or just over it…
Try it today.
Say the phrase out loud RIGHT NOW:
“It’s gonna be a GOOD day.”
Say it every morning before your feet hit the ground. Say it even if you don’t feel it yet. And then go live like it’s true, because it is.
You’ve got breath in your lungs.
You’ve got purpose for your life.
You’ve got the power to choose.
Let today be the start of something new.
The BEST is yet to come!
